2023 Bragg HTB

We woke up in our fancy $60/night hotel after about 9 hours of solid sleep. Q. How do you feel after finishing the Bragg HTB? A. Like I got lip injections To find out how we got here, let's start at the beginning of this Bragg journey. In September 2020, I was in the best shape of my life as I competed in GORUCK Team Assessment.  I needed something to do next. I always do after a big event. The Bragg Double Heavy was just announced and seemed like the next logical step. My buddy Cullen and I registered and made the trip down, only for me to drop (literally) about 12 hours in after a bad step in the water trench on the pipeline trail, causing my already unstable knee to fully dislocate.  If you don't know me by now, my nickname is Dislocaitlin. THAT GORUCK WHISKEY EVENT

I'm not a "writer", but I like to document memories. This is extremely long. I won't take up more space with cute words and flowery phrases. This is just "cut and dry" my experience planning and participating in the GORUCK Whiskey Rebellion Custom BBS. Enjoy! The theme: Whiskey Rebellion. The events: Heavy merging with a Tough class, followed by a Scavenger. I had a brief couple of emails back and forth with HQ, but they never got back to me with a quote. We were then asked as club leaders to request events for our club for 2020. Fellow club leader, Kristi Devenyi, sent an email requesting a stand-alone Whiskey Rebellion-themed Heavy and Shanksville.
